Happy Monday, Good friends

Happy Monday:

So, in the ever growing list of things that make me happy, today I'm going to talk about my friends.

Week 2
Theme: General awesomness
Topic: Writer friends.

The single most important thing writers need is other writer friends.

You know, just behind an understanding of language, a story, characters and a way to write the story down, writer friends are super important.

Thanks to blogger I've found some of my bestest writer friends.

I cheer for them when they succeed.  I cry for them when life seems to screw them over. I make awkward jokes to make them laugh.

Kat, Pam, Quita and of course Alicia have been my rocks.

Meg and Mo have been my sounding boarding, they've hugged me when  cried and we've laughed at my fails.

But Holly has been my sanity. My sister from another mother.  Somehow that doesn't sound as cool as I thought it would.  Anyway, back to the awesomeness of Holly.  She's talked me down from a nasty case of "I suck at everything and I should give up."  She's been my dose of reality.  She's read my query.  She's my rock star.  At this point, I'm sort of lost without her.

Without writer friends I would have given up or failed WAY bigger then I have.  Without writer friends I would have been alone in my  necrotic writer mind.

Real life friends are amazing.  But for writer problems, writer friends are the best.

And they make me SUPER HAPPY.

QUESTION:
Have writer friends helped you out in your writer time of need?

(also I've been watching Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends with my kid so that's been fun too.)

  3. You make me happy, too. And you have, on more than one occasion, talked me down off a writer's cliff. So thank you. :)

  4. Absolutely. I don't know what I'd do without my writer friends. :)
